Italy has 2 main visa categories of which the Schengen Short Term Visa or C Visa is required for a regular tourist visit. The other type of visa is the Long Term D Visa or the Italian National Visa. A Schengen Short Term Visa allows you to stay in Italy for up to 90 days, for single or multiple entry.
