Koningsdag’ (King’s Day) is a national holiday in the Netherlands to commemorate the birthday of King Willem-Alexander (27 April 1967). Streets are decorated with orange flags and banners, locals wears orange, people dye their hair orange and orange drinks are sold all over the city. It’s called ‘Oranjegekte’ (Orange madness).
