Anamalai Tiger Reserve
The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, now known as the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, is in the Western Ghats close to the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary and Eravikulam National Park. You can catch glimpses of leopards, tigers, gaurs, elephants and the Nilgiri langurs, the lion-tailed macaques and other bird species. The picturesque Top Slip, which is 244mt above sea level and the Elephant Camp are major crowd pullers in this reserve.
