Check-in was a breeze and we were allowed to check-in early which was appreciated after a red-eye flight. The lobby is nice, airy and plenty of seating available. The front desk staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. The room was on a high floor which we appreciated. The room itself was clean, bed was comfortable to sleep in. Well maintained, well-managed hotel. Enjoyed our stay there. Would return again. Thank you.

We stayed here for a family wedding. The hotel was spacious and clean, as were the rooms. But I really got the sense of being nickeled and dimed. Had to pay $23/ night for parking- in the suburbs! Charge for internet, unless you’re a Marriott member. No toiletries in the room. I literally had to ask for a shower cap before taking a shower. Food quite expensive in the restaurant.
It was ok, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
TIP: parking near the metro is free on weekends. It’s 2 blocks away. We saved $46!

Located steps from the Metro North Bethesda Red Line, it’s super convenient to get into DC and just a short drive to Bethesda. Plenty of restaurants and shopping including Pike & Rose. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice.

Wonderful family stay
Wonder stay. Visiting family in the area and with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby, it was a very convenient location for us. Check in went smoothly and I was kindly upgraded as a Titanium elite. We had access to the M lounge which was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed breakfast there as well.
The hotel was often very busy with a conference but it wasn't overcrowded and we had no delays. Self parking is convenient but does require a fee.
Service was excellent, and we plan to come back soon.

Lower your expectations
We’ve become used to the high level of service usually experienced at Marriott hotels. We expected nothing different when we reserved nine nights at the Bethesda Marriott Conference Center. For one thing, it’s big, and it’s also one of the newest Marriott properties in that area of the DC suburbs.
What we observed is that their policies are designed to make everything easier for the hotel staff, with little regard for the guests.
If you want your clothes cleaned, you have to bring them to the front desk. When you think it should be done, you have to call the desk, ask if it’s back and go down and pick it up. Don’t expect them to call you or bring it up.
If you want your room cleaned, it may or may not happen. Even if you speak to the housekeeping employee you see in the hall, and even if you tip her first. If you’re gone all day and you return to your room after 4pm, and it hasn’t been cleaned, it’s too late to request it. The desk told us the housekeepers leave at 4. Why didn’t they clean your room, even though you asked as you were leaving? The excuse was that the housekeeping staff doesn’t speak English.
If you’re having a package delivered to the hotel, don’t expect a call when it arrives. I even called the desk first, but that didn’t work either. We were instructed to come down to the desk, show them the tracking number and proof that it was delivered, along with a picture ID. Even if it has your room number on the package label, they may not find it. Our package had my name and room number, but they only recognized my husband’s name, so they couldn’t find it.
On a good note, the restaurant and bar are excellent, both the food and the service. If you stick to that, you can’t go wrong.
All in all, it’s not a bad stay. The rooms are fine. Just don’t be disappointed if you observe a lower level of customer service.
