Absolutely Wonderful Stay!

From the time we arrived and viewed the wonderful property To dinner at the amazing restaurant at sunset, served by Alana. Excellent food and service and a good portion! We checked in with Krista who was friendly and helpful. Our room was overlooking the bay and was clean and renovated and had an comfortable soft bed! We checked out at 11 o'clock and did not hear any noise. We took a walk toward the bird sanctuary and sat for a while right on the beach.This location is close to everything. It is a quiet hidden gem away from town! We will be back!

This is THE place to stay when visiting Morro Bay

I just love staying here...amazing view from our full view king room and balcony, very nice and comfy furniture and a nice big mini frig with room for our drinks and snacks. Convenient to restaurants and places to see wildlife and take hikes. Plus very friendly staff! It's an annual treat to come here!

Filthy Bathroom/bugs

Pros: Beautiful views from the bay. Comfortable Beds. In-room fireplace provides nice ambiance.
Cons: The bathroom on check in was ablutely filthy with dirt layered in the windowsills, flies coming up from the drain of the sink. There was a layer of dead bugs on the ceiling of the bathroom.

A place of serenity

Very peaceful and serene place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the views are beautiful. Located in a perfect spot with access to walking paths and a golf course. The staff is great, very friendly. The restaurant has many wonderful and delicious choices. This is our place to stay when visiting Morro Bay.

On the floor next to the bedstand there was a dead spider under its spider web, a big chunk of food (best guess what it was), other big black crumbs on the other side of the bed.
The bathroom had black soot splashes on two walls (not stains), very sticky floor, dirty grout, red/brown splashes near toilet.
I wiped up water from the floor in the bed room and the towel was disgusting dirty from un-mopped floors.
We arrived late so only saw a couple of these things before bed and were too exhausted to call in. It wasn't until morning that we saw just how unclean this place was in the light of day.
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the location. It's right next to a beautiful walk through the wildlife reserve.
I don't know if this was a fluke or what but I was so disappointed. This was supposed to be a special, one-night stay near the beach for my girlfriend. There are too many other details to mention. This was like a dirty motel rather than a 3 star hotel.
