Wonderful Experience!!!
Hesitant at first because of the reviews but glad we decided to book with our stay. Check in process was smooth and received a friendly and warm welcome from Carlos Hernandez. He answered all our questions and was very helpful. The room on the 7th floor was beautiful, modern, spacious and clean + had an amazing view! Pleasantly surprised that this old hotel is updated and very well maintained. Hotel had amenities like food, services, restaurants, pool, free shuttle service and more! Free shuttle service is available from Miami airport and from the hotel. All you have to do is be in the designated spot, wait for it to arrive and they pick you up - they came every 15 minutes. Cane Fire Grill (onsite restaurant) had delicious food and good staff service. MIA Pantry's (onsite convenience store) had everything you will need! Super glad we decided to spend the night with Miami Airport Marriott hotel! Highly recommend this hotel!

Super if you wanna be close to the airport.
We were in for one night on a trip to Guadeloupe to atlanta. We were only here for the night. Super close to the airport. The free shuttle was in time and ran frequently. The staff was super friendly! The room was excellent for an overnight stay. The breakfast in the morning was fine with a chef that made a GREAT omelette.

Marriott Disloyalty Rewards
OK, I get it. Nonrefundable means no refund. But for a Bonvoy member, business traveler who stayed with this hotel 5 times in the past 6 years, I expected better. They chose not to help someone who made a legitimate mistake (I intended to book my standard government refundable rate). I wanted to cancel 2 weeks before the stay after my trip was cancelled. So I get to personally eat the ~$550. Way to lose my “loyalty” to Marriott and particularly this hotel. Can’t say anything particularly bad about the rest of the hotel experience I’ve had there, bit just be darn sure you don’t make a mistake because they have zero mercy.

Shameful for a Marriott
The staff are rude and arrogant. Shame it’s a part of any hotel group. Only saw the lobby as I cancelled the booking and left the hotel. The checkin system was down and the staff refused to accept a credit card payment on check out claiming they cannot process payments. However the bar in the lobby was functional and processing payment for their customers. And I hold an elite Marriott membership.

It’s good enough but noisy
Stayed here twice now. It’s a decent hotel, staff are very good and we were able to check in early. The Pantry is very expensive. Room wasn’t as good as last time, darker and seemed more dated but was clean and very comfortable bed. My main issue with this hotel is the noise with the connecting rooms. It seems they have a lot of connecting rooms and you can hear everything. Snoring, TVs, conversations etc. I really wish they would resolve this.
