Beautiful Beach Retreat
This is a beautiful lodge.
The lobby is amazing with its beautiful furnishings and absolutely amazing gulf views.
There are 2 restaurants that we ate at while there. Perch , which is more upscale with amazing food. We had a Spanish grilled octopus and fresh raw oysters. Both dishes were perfection . We opted for cocktails but the wine list was quite good. Service was very good.
We also ate at Food Craft which is more laid back but very good . We ordered the crispy red snapper and again oysters . Both dishes were very good as was the service .
There is also a coffee/wine bar in lobby which serves very good coffee and muffins etc.
After leaving lobby you head for the guest rooms .a beautiful pool area is in between the areas. You can also walk out to the gorgeous beach .
Our room was perfect ,with a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach . The room is spacious. Ours had two queen beds
And a very nice sized bathroom. The room also has a wardrobe and desk and does have a mini fridge.
We couldn’t have been more happy with our room.
The service staff was exceptional and welcoming. This is a 5 star lodge !

Mini Getaway
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The views are amazing from all areas of the hotel. Lots of choices for food and beverages. The room was on the smaller side, but we had a balcony facing the gulf. The room did not have a microwave but a mini fridge. The beds were very comfortable. The pool is not heated, so if you travel in cooler months, it will be cold! When we checked in, we were told about a full service restaurant. What the front desk failed to mention was that there are two different restaurants in the same building. One was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but the other one was open. As we approached it after dark, we didn't see anyone and assumed it was closed and had to venture off site for dinner.
Here are a few things that I would suggest for visitors traveling with a disability. (I did call the front desk for an early check in explaining that we had a person in our family with a disability). Clearly state the local phone number of the hotel, I had to call several numbers. Clearly explain the parking procedures for handicap parking. We were only told of a parking lot for general parking. We later discovered there were handicap spots by the check-in drive. Overall experience for a two day getaway was great and highly recommend.

Beautiful location at the Gulf State Park. Very peaceful with the gorgeous beach and convenient access to the park. Enjoyed the on-site restaurants and poolside food and drinks. Loved the property and the entire vibe. While it felt remote and serene, it was very close to everything else Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have to offer. Highly recommend!

Awesome! Fantastic!! Great right sesort!!!
This is a fantastic resort. The facility, the beach, and the State Park were all wonderful. The staff is exemplary. From the desk clerks, Hannah and Kayla, to the bellman Jeff and the valets, Spencer and Logan, every person demonstrated a level of service that we have only seen on our visits to the Ritz-Carlton. The entire staff of housekeepers, maintenance workers, waiters, waitresses, and bartenders always spoke to us with a genuine smile and greeting.
The beach is nice and spread out because of the layout of the facility. It ‘s a place to avoid the crowds of the large condos.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!!

Great property
Beautiful property and beach. There is a roughly 2 mile stretch of sea shore free of any developments. Kids loved the bunk beds in the room. Make sure to explore the rest of the state park for fishing, hiking, and birding. Logan and Chase were great!

As awesome as the beaches are, a short walk across the footbridge you can also explore everything the park has to offer. The bunk beds are always a hit with the kiddos!
