Decent hotel - pretty quiet (apart from the massive AC units outside) - good gym, nice staff

Not used to a Double Tree being average but this one was and felt more like a Hampton Inn. Decided to stay here b/c of location and amenities that hotel offered. What we didn't know was that the bar and the restaurant were both closed...except for breakfast that was a extremely average and cost $17 pp.
Room had a nice view of the lake so that was enjoyable. And the room overall was generally comfortable but nothing special.

I guess you get what you pay for, It’s good for the price, and it’s really close go the attractions ; but the carpet has a bad smell, specially in the hallways, like damp.

We love the area it’s really quiet. Overlooking a lake if you get a balcony room. Just wished that the balconies had chairs.

Housekerpi g came to our door at 9:12 amand told us "checkout". We rushed around and got downstairs and complained that we thought it was 12 pm. The manager said it was 12 but that the lady from housekeeping did not speak English so all she could say was "checkout". All we got was an appology and told they would let us go back upstairs and take a shower but our tide was already there because we had called them when we were told to checkout. What a fiasco. An expensive fiasco.
