Uncleanliness is Unacceptable
I already knew it was an older hotel that needs a lot of remodeling and attention but that does not mean you can't keep it clean. There were so many different types of stains at the bottom of that duvet cover thing that they never seem to change. Yellow stains, red marks, scuff mark plus it's fraying and that is unacceptable. It's already touched my bed sheets. Im awaiting new bedding as I type. You can be old and still be clean at the same time. VERY UNACCEPTABLE AT ANY PRICE. THE NEXT TIME WE STAY NEAR THE MARINA WE'LL HAVE TO BOOK THE OMNI.

If you bring a saddle and a rope you can heard and ride the roaches
Brother!....! I'm rating this room on a roach per capita basis Literally was up all night updating this as I chased roaches around the room. All sizes. I felt like I was herding cattle. There's so many and some you could ride to the light. So I've stayed in hotels all over the globe and this is the first room I've ever stayed in where I have killed three roaches in the room in less than an hour. This is room 1717. So I sit on the bed doing some work on the laptop look up at the TV...two more roaches running up the wall. Moved the fridge more. So this is a record for me on roaches in a room I think it's a record period because I've seldom if ever found bugs or roaches. This is with the lights wide open so I don't even want to know what's crawling around when I'm asleep in here with no lights.
Bar is nice. Breakfast food was ok but service struggles with one person training a new person even with it being Buffett.
This is a one and done for me. That's a shame because the waterfront is nice and the views are good but lort have mercy. This is from a multi-year diamond/platinum elite with IHG and I used to be exclusive IHG but this is one of the reasons I've slowly transitioned away from the brand. There's much nicer hotels down the block or you can find the fake eyelashes in your bed with the roaches. Eight roaches in 1717 just tonight 2/5. Basically walking the room at 11 PM saddling and killing roaches. I've never seen anything like this.

Hotel stay meh
Parking was a little pricey to begin with. $18!?! Parking should be free for hotel guests. Room was a little dated. But water pressure in shower was good. However the coffee machine didn’t work. I called the front desk to let them know, and instead of offering to bring me a new one or to take a look at it they tell me to come down to the lobby and get warm water there. However, it was 11 PM and I was already in my pajamas so I was not going to be leaving the room.Also ice vending machine was not working on our floor so we had to go to the third floor to actually find one that did work.

Disappointing family getaway
The lobby is definitely a false advertisement of the rest of the hotel. It's clean and gives you a good first impression....beware! Front desk greeted us and was friendly. One reason we picked this hotel was that it had in room balconies and our kids were really excited by this! Once we got to our room though, we found that they sealed the balcony doors shut for "safety reasons". This was really disappointing, as it is listed as a room amenity on their website. Then we tried to turn on the bathroom sink and the cold water wouldn't turn on. We were finally able to get it on, but then couldn't get it to turn off. The front desk sent up a repair man within a few minutes and he was polite and fixed the faucet quickly. The bathroom and room was very run down and could really use a deep clean. The carpet was stained and the bathroom floor/grout was very dirty and needed cleaned. Later that evening, I walked down to the hotel bar to get a glass of red wine and was told they were completely out! The bar tender told me she had about 3 different white wines. I asked to see a bar menu and she wouldn't give me one as she said "it hasn't been updated". She made no attempt to offer to make me anything, so I left to take my kids to swim in the "heated pool". The pool was not only not heated and FREEZING, it was also about 12 inches low on water. Well below the pool filter intakes. We had purchased the breakfast/parking package and went down to have breakfast the next morning. It was adverstised that with the breakfast package , you can order any of the "Hotel Favorites" off the menu. We arrived to have no staff around for at least 3-4 minutes so we sat ourselves. The waitress finally came out from the kitchen and told us that only the self serve buffet was available today. The food was disappointing. Typical cheap hotel buffet...scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast and make your own waffles. The waitress brought us our drinks and never came back to check on us. I eventually had to go track her down to get a coffee refill. The next morning, was slightly better as we were at least allowed to order off the menu, but the food was nothing exciting and I would have been very upset if I had paid menu price for it. The waitress also never came back to check on us and I once again had to track her down for coffee. Neither day was the restaurant busy either. Maybe 3 tables total each morning. Overall a very disappointing stay! Will definitely never be back or recommend that anyone stays here.

Needs remodeling to fix bathroom ceilings
Place is in needs of remodeling. Bathroom ceilings were super low and I’m only 5ft 7in. Rugs felt dirty under your feet too. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for upscale space. Decided to pay for the Omni hotel during our next stay in Corpus Christi.
