The “Meridiana” offers the charm of a historic Swiss-Italian Ticinese house with walls from the Middle Ages blended with modern architecture and facilities. Most of the rooms and the large terrace offer a direct view to the lake.

Right in the middle
For arrival and departure you can drive through the pedestrian zone to the hotel. For departures on Sunday, this may require increased attention and patience.
The rooms were nice and sufficiently large. Of course, the most beautiful are those with lake views. Breakfast was good, though not exceptional. Very cool is the SPA area in the basement. For a hotel of this size in this location an absolute exception.
Personally, I found it a pity that the wonderful terrace remains quite unused. There are probably reasons for this. We had helped ourselves once from the house fridge to have a drink there in the evening. However, the selection was small and I should have bought something in advance.
Basically, however, it was the right choice and we can recommend the La Meridiana.

The room was big, clean and had a great view. The coffee maker was nice, but instructions in English would have been super helpful (or even a QR code on how to use it)!
The bathroom lighting was the worst we have had in all of our stays in Europe.

Just quality
Nothing a problem for Simone on the front desk; she was fantastic and very friendly and informative - she even came to the car, told me where to park and then carried my bag when I went off to park - could not het better than that. Great town matched by a great hotel with superb staff - thank you.
