Good option for early departure from airport

I stayed two nights here on a short weekend trip. The hotel is in close proximity to Chamartin station from where you can reach the airport by Metro (all Terminals) with one change.
The hotel is a bit nondescript from the outside and I passed it by twice trying to find it but it is just across from the station near the parking area for taxis and up a small scruffy side street. However don’t let that put you off!
Inside the hotel is very pleasant. I had a twin on floor 9 - three lifts operate so you don’t wait for long. The room was spacious with spotless linen, a small fridge with minibar and a large bathroom with bath and attached shower-head. Excellent pressure and water temperature.
Breakfast was included and was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve come across with a mix of traditional Spanish as well as cooked items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and beans. If you are leaving before breakfast starts (0700) and have no time for breakfast they will provide you with a picnic box.
The hotel also serves a la carte meals although I didn’t try them.
I didn’t have time to explore restaurants in the immediate area- I think they may be a bit sparse. However travelling into the city centre is easy from the Metro at Chamartin. I bought a Metro tourist card at the airport for 2 days - but bear in mind they are only valid for each day from the time you first validate the card - they don’t cover 24 hour cycles. I ended up having to buy a single back to the airport.
So the hotel is a perfectly good choice if you are wanting to be relatively near the airport for an early departure (as I was) and happy enough to take the Metro into the centre of Madrid (say 20 minutes or so).

Excellent

Excellent structure, maybe not beautiful externally in the sense that it is the typical structure with windows all the same for 10 floors, inserted in an office area context. Very spacious room, marble bathroom, large mirror, large wardrobe, safe, sockets and everything you need. Buffet breakfast but access to the room is managed, consequently there is no chaos and everyone has the table that is given only if there is capacity at that time. Also great as a restaurant. Very nice pool, sunbeds and umbrellas available. Max pool height 160 cm.. A 5-minute walk there is the high-speed train, the normal train and metro lines 1 and 10 that in 12 stops leads to Gran Via and Sol, in the center. Taxi outside the hotel, always.
Car parking at about 29 euros per day next to the hotel, lift leading directly to the hotel.

Il fatto che abbia trovato la nostra colazione a buffet ben organizzata ci rende orgogliosi del nostro servizio culturale. Inoltre, siamo felici che abbia sottolineato la bellezza della nostra piscina e la comodità della sua posizione rispetto ai mezzi di trasporto.
Per quanto riguarda il costo del parcheggio, comprendiamo che possa rappresentare un aspetto meno positivo. Tuttavia, siamo contenti di offrire un collegamento diretto con l'hotel tramite ascensore, garantendo praticità e sicurezza per i nostri ospiti.

The poorest hotel I ever had for 200€/night.
Awfull bad, in which I felt the matrass springs pushing through.
On top my room was streetside and during the night it was like the people outside were like passing in my room > bad insulation (my room was on 1th floor close to hotel entrance)
Elevator in hotel must be the slowest ever.
Breakfast was OK

Bad feeling, I won't come back

Overall it is a normal hotel, it does not stand out for anything especially. Maybe because of the location but nothing else.
It is something "cold", little warmth in terms of perception, room quite spacious but cold in terms of decoration for how big it was, unwelcoming, austere but clean. Clean bathroom with natural lighting, but with some defect.
For the volume of customers you have, there are few elevators and also small. He agreed that one of them was broken and to go up or down to the high floors was chaos, you had to wait to be lucky and patient to catch them. Desperate! You saw real processions down the stairs, it was embarrassing.
At breakfast time also chaotic, we had to wait a barbaric to access the room, mismanagement of the issue.
Normal breakfast , plentiful but with lots of industrial product.
If they are able to accommodate such a volume of clients they should have adequate planning and according to the circumstances.
The cheking another ordeal, more than 15 minutes despite the fact that we did not provide or ask for more data than normal despite the application of the traveler registration law RD 933/21. The person who did it very very slowly , little skill, did not manage well.
Normal beds and very fine duvets.
That said, all very "cold" unwelcoming and bad feeling.
I have stayed in hotels of the same category and they have been much better. Value for money... because it depends on the time of the accommodation.
I certainly wouldn't come back.

Never again

Painful treatment after my stay. All right until after I leave the hotel where I get a "no show" notice, I think they call, when someone doesn't show up. I call reception and after providing my details confirm that there were two reservations for the same night with the same guests but with the crossed names, in one was the guest one first and the number 2 as second and the other the same but being the guest 2 first and the 1 as second. Such information was never communicated to me at check in or out and that was what our identification documents asked us and could have seen and communicated. After speaking to them on several occasions and explaining that I had not made that second booking and that at no time was I aware of it until the "no show" message. My reservation was made by Booking, and the second according to them as well, and after talking to Booking, Booking agrees to cancel that second reservation, which they also do not know how it was generated, relinquishing their share of the profit, but for this you have to give the hotel the go-ahead. After several email exchanges and a call with the booking manager, they tell me that they cannot cancel the booking because it generated a cost for them. What cost can a room have that was not used, I do not generate electricity or cleaning or any other cost? They end up arguing a lie that justifies their position, that the hotel was full and they couldn't offer anyone else that room. They'd like to... I don’t know if they forget that IF WE WERE staying and saw the occupancy level, I would bet with all the winning options that it doesn’t even reach 70%. If you have the minimum problem, do not expect a solution from the management side of the hotel, your only desire is the economic, the good customer service is all facade and image but no reality as there is money in the middle. The second reservation was charged several days after our departure.
