We loved this hotel and their mission extremely eco-friendly and they donate a high percentage of profits to local Oaxaca children.
If I ever travel to the area again, I will definitely stay there Great location for walking!

Comfortable hospitality in Oaxaca

We stayed four nights at this small hotel on the edge of the Centro Histórico. The bedroom on the second floor was a reasonable size and well equipped with a view of the mountains. There was a comfortable seating area on a nearby terrace. The hotel’s purpose is to give 75% of its profits to support local children and young people. It is very well run by an enthusiastic and helpful staff. Breakfasts were delicious with a different cooked course every day. The location was good with about a 15 walk to the centre and there were some excellent restaurants nearby. It was surprisingly quiet at night. We would strongly recommend staying here.

Hotel and service TOP with cute project with education support ❤️

Instead of 1 night, we were finally able to stay 3 nights thanks to the efforts of Hotel Mgr, Silvana;). Both she and her entire team provided a very professional and warm service! Breakfast is of great quality with daily variation. The facilities are nice (built around a beautiful tree) with very comfortable rooms, good beds and spacious bathroom. We were informed in more detail about the social project to support children with limited resources for education. Many reasons to come back soon!

Beware of the compact rooms

Beware of the Compact Rooms! They are absolutely tiny and completely impractical for two people. We had to bring our suitcase to the terrace to open it as it was not possible to open it in the room without having an accident. The room is barely suitable for a solo travel with little luggage. It does not fit with the ethos of this hotel to offer this room as a double. We we're booked to stay for 8 nights, but we left after the first night. We had stayed here before and loved the hotel and we were looking forward to staying here again. The hotel serves a wonderful breakfast and the staff are very kind. So we were very sad to move, but we felt we had no option. When we last stayed here we were in a "queen room" which was also compact but perfectly fine. We assumed this was the room we had booked again as the compact rooms did not exist when we were last there. Of course, we should have been more careful with the booking and spotted the difference, but the hotel should have alerted us more carefully to the size of the room. We booked directly through the hotel website.

It was a pity that we did not have the chance to have you in the hotel for your full stay, however we understand how you feel and we thank you for coming back Our compact rooms were open 2 years ago, and in all the platforms and our website it informs about the size of the rooms which is 9m2 each and the characteristics, also we show pictures to bring an idea for the guests. These rooms have all the services as all our other categories, but yes, they are designed preferably for people who travel light and like the concept of “tiny house”. We try to be as clear as possible, but of course we will do our best to inform better to the travelers. We would have loved to offer you another room category, but we were totally full during the first 4 nights of your stay. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Oaxaca and hopefully we can welcome you back in the near future!

Lovely Euro-vobe

This is a lovely, clean, comfortable, friendly place - I have no complaints at all - but be aware that the style/vibe is Euro-chic and not mexican. If that's what you want, it's a great place. Good breakfast, nice rooftop, helpful staff. Mission-based but, again, it a european-led endeavor.
