First Visit to Shangri La - Surabaya (Will Certainly Return)
The staff which assisted and welcomed me on the front desk were perfect with a quick and seamless check in.
I was here for 5 nights in January and had breakfast every morning served within their Jamoo restaurant (terrace areas outside overlooking the pool area) which offered a vast array of options with great staff on hand.
The hotel was felt fairly quiet (or maybe that was the serenity of Shangri La!), lovely pool area surrounded by trees and greenery and a really peaceful environment to relax in.
I was travelling solo on business however I would definitely recommend staying here for families with children as it was clear they welcome all as they had a separate small pool with slide etc.
Would highly recommend the Italian Restaurant 'Sapore Osteria' as the food was simply amazing.
Also on the ground floor is a bar / restaurant 'Desperados' which provided a great in-house band playing live music (requests welcomed and accommodated), this was headed up by Jeff Yefta from I believe Jakarta who took his time in-between sets to come and speak with the guests.
Would certainly stay here again on my next visit.
