I love this place... a little known gem with the older elegance of 14ft ceilings, chandeliers, double doors to the rooms, (elegant curtains!) and a big modern bathroom with a tub!
It is convenient... half a block from the main train station, on the quieter side towards the river. (I am 77 but feel safe here.) There is a big comfortable downstairs sitting area. Although on a main street, the windows are thick and keep out the noise. It serves a modest breakfast for 9 euros.
The down side is that the elevator doesn't work. There are hair dryers in the rooms but no coffee/tea pot in the rooms, if you feel you need it rather than having it downstairs in the dining room.

It was not good. As the lift was not working and the water was issue one day and others the water was not clean.The staff was not helpful at all.
We had to take all our bags to second floor where we were allotted the rooms.
I will never stay back there.

After reading some concerning reviews about the hotel and the area I was a little apprehensive. Actually the man on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. The area is under development and can be a bit daunting walking from the station to the hotel but we were not bothered by anyone and did not see anything untoward that concerned us. It’s a great location with a 20minute walk along the river into the old town and brilliant location on a budget for the Christmas market. Like any major city they have their homeless challenges but do not let this put you off.
There are tram stops located within minutes and the main station is less than a 10 minute walk and in total about 25 minutes from FRA Airport with a ticket costing around 7 Euros.
All in all a great little budget hotel in a central location perfect for weekend visitors.

Staff at reception was rude and I just saw they take money from my account and I tried to call but phone just ringing
