Amazing cute little hotel in one of the most gorgeous quant towns in france

Stayed here for our holiday in june this year we flew from Australia, the rooms were amazing, the beds were comfy, and the food was amazing every night, breakfast was cute in the morning with a continental style breakfast, and the staff were so friendly, can't recommend this place enough to stay if your driving down from paris and need a place to stop.

An excellent stopover for lunch

I will only comment on the one restaurant.
Traditional atmosphere (which reminds me of the early 70s), which is a (big) compliment for me. Very good value for money and pleasant service. A little effort to make for the originality of the entries. Otherwise it's a very good address, which fully deserves its "Logis de France" label.

Mr. Hotelier, please have someone accompany you, support you, your establishment could once again become a beautiful address

The hotel seems to be frozen in time. It must have offered good performances in the past but has not been brought up to date:
-Presence of bidet, hip bathtub, air conditioner on wheels in 2024?
-Outdated decoration, dull gray paint covers the tiles in the bathroom.
We ignore the cold and unfriendly welcome from the receptionist who also seems to be the owner. Billing also offers surprises with €5 charged for parking 2 bikes in a closed storage shed.
On-site catering is also a source of disillusionment. Dinner, although served by professional and delicate waitresses, offers little choice. Breakfast (fresh bread, pastries, hot drinks, savory and sweet, fruit, hard-boiled eggs) could have saved the stay but the tables set for breakfast are only there for decoration, the hotelier asks us to sit down at a bare table.
Mr. Hotelier, please have someone accompany you, support you, your establishment could once again become a great address.

Superb food

If you want excellent food cooked by a chef who really understands flavour and balance then this is the place for you. Good food with a no nonsense attitude towards service makes this a French delight. Rooms are good although Wi-Fi in room 2 was lacking. Doors closed until 17:30 but nice bar next door to pass the time for early arrivals.

Spent a night here on the back to the UK. La Barque is a fairly ordinary French 2 star, but it is in good condition and is very clean. The highlight of our stay was the great meal we had in the restaurant. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.
