Only foreigners who pay with a foreign credit card, debit card or via bank transfer are exempt from this 21% additional fee (VAT) in accommodations and breakfast when presenting a foreign passport or a foreign ID along with a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority, if applicable. Please note that a local Ecotax of 0.30 USD, per person, per day, is not included on the fee. It applies to all guests older than 14 years old, and can only amount to the charge of a 3-night stay.
