What a wonder 10/10 experience!

Ms. Alvita was the best receptionist ever!! We were greeted with such a lovely friendly personality. We are from out of town and the front desk staff Gave us recommendations and advice on the area. The atmosphere was 10/10! Room 10/10! Service was 10/10! Had to change rooms and it was such a smooth transition. Thanks doubletree for the amazing hospitality.

Doubletree Double Dirty!

My husband is a Hilton Honors member so I’ve stayed in several Doubletree hotels. I was appalled at the one we stayed in last night, in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Old, and I’m OK mostly with that. But DIRTY! The restaurant was good and of course the cookies but so much grime! Husband called the stain in the bathroom (which was the tiniest one I’ve ever seen!) blood. I doubt it was but it was disgusting. The view was nice but the sliding glass doors were so poorly made or maintained that we heard traffic all night.

Let me start by saying the staff are wonderful, each interaction even late at night was professional and friendly. The location is perfect for access to Florida Theatre, Vystar arena, Everbank for events. Also less than 10min to amazing food in 5 points, San Marco, and Riverside. The view from our balcony was awesome. However the hotel is very dated, I will upload photos below, please note this is not dirty its just old and falling apart. The housekeeping can only clean a fully intact surface. Looks more like a maintenence issue. For the price of the rooms, the condition is unacceptable. $20 a day parking fee with no alternative, unless you input all of your personal info and download a ridiculous Hilton app. Ice machine on our floor was non functional (8th). Time for a refresh or drop the price.

Old, dirty, NOTHING like a Hilton you'd expect. Hallways smell like mildew and weed, "F*ck" is carved into the elevator, stains all over the furniture, dirt and misc. stains on the walls/floors. Just an overall horrific experience. This chicken bone pictured was in the stairwell for 3 days!

There were stains on the carpet in my room, there were limited outlets and the ones that were there were behind the bed making it difficult to get to. The bathroom had no area to put your toiletries. We had to use the toilet lid as a shelf when we got ready. The front desk staff acted as if you bothered them when asking for something. In the conference, they did not keep the water filled (we ran out of water multiple times). They weren’t attentive to the needs of the conference goers.
