AVOID!!
We only needed one night as getting the ferry the next day - if it had been more we would have moved.
Reason it was booked was it had a pool and my son loves to swim.
Arrival - a very stressed looking man checked us in with ease - room was on the fourth floor, down a long corridor, through 2 security doors and wedged in the corner of the hotel.
As we opened the door the smell of damp was overwhelming.
The toilet seat had urine on it, there was old chewing gum in the bottom of the toilet.
There was a double bed and bunk beds. The bunkbeds didn’t seem at all sturdy and it was agreed the 3 of us would sleep in the double bed.
I went to reception to ask to swap rooms - my son is asthmatic and I was worried about the damp. The room swap was done with ease and I thought all was good.
However the new room stank of cigarettes, the lesser of 2 evils was to stay in the original.
You had to pay £3 each to swim in a pool that was not fit for purpose, cold, smelly and in need of serious repair.
We needed to eat dinner so headed to the restaurant. There were no staff about so found a table and went and got food.
Looking at it I decided not to eat.
My son was hungry so had fish and chips - not sure what the fish was but it was not cooked.
The clientele of the hotel left alot to be desired with people shouting and swearing at each other.
None of the tables were cleared and piles of plates left - the staff didn’t seem to care and just carried on walking past.

Not suitable for disabled guests
The hotel is clearly showing its age. Ceiling tiles were cracked and ill-fitting, the cleaning sketchy (fingerprints and smear marks on the desk), condensation was evident inside the window glazing, the lifts were very noisy if your room was near them.
The 'adaptions' for disabled gursts were a sum total of a single grab rail on the shower wall. Most doors are standard size and would not fit a wheelchair through, there is zero room in bathroom to manoeuvre (it looked like a previous guest had damaged the toilet roll holder trying to use it to help themselves up from the toilet)
Food was reasonable, although only a limited choice help yourself buffet style in main restaurant.
There was evening entertainment on the Saturday night, although we were too tired to experience it.
