Great hostel, great location!
The rooms were very clean and the pods for sleeping in were very nice. It's near some pubs so there was a little bit of music but it was never an issue and the hostel offered free earplugs anyway.
The staff were incredibly helpful too. I needed to print a document and they did it for me free of charge. The free breakfast was also a very nice touch and significantly reduces the effective cost of the hostel!

Indie Hostel Koh Tao
If you need to leave the hostel on the 6AM ferry, I would maybe chat with a taxi driver the dsy before to see if you can arrange something. The hostel advised me to walk to the 7-11 and a taxi will be there for sure (it was 4:45AM). There was no taxi available, not a person in sight so I had to walk to the pier (35minutes).
Also, as there are no backpacks allowed in the room, you basically have to unpack everything you will need and keep it in your bunk. Not a huge deal, just a little more inconvenient than having my pack right there. I understand the security of it though.

Sorry to hear that you could not find a taxi in the morning and have to walk for a long way better have to book a taxi before.

This property is located in a busy area so guests might experience some noise. A damage deposit of THB 1000 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment.
