We can't say enough good things about the town of Gyula or the Corso hotel. The town is picturesque and pristinely clean and the hotel keeps that standard too. The location is very convenient and quiet and you can walk to everything. The spa facilities were clean and modern and everything you would expect from a top notch hotel. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and saunas. The thing that made the Corso hotel really shine was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gifted me an ice pack to take with me for the trip home to help with a back pain issue. My husband and I give the hotel two thumbs up and we intend to return.

Not up to the challenge of 4 stars

We spent 3 nights in the hotel. The shower was not safe for use mainly for older people. The shower floors were slippery, no shower curtain, water splashing everywhere. After you took a shower the bathroom was mostly looking like a lake.... We requested a shower mat, but we were given instead some rug gripper. Did not work in wet conditions. Breakfast buffet not appropriate for a 4 * hotel. Will look for another accommodation next time.

Very beautiful hotel in Gyula

I’ve been there last weekend and I was very impressed by this beautiful hotel.
Rooms are very big and beautiful, bath was also big, clean and warm.
The staff are very friendly and everyone smiles.
The location is in the center of town nearby Gyula castle and Gyula wellness and spa.
I recommend this hotel!

Relaxing weekend!

The hotel is in the center of Gyula, great location. Everything is walking distance (castel area, swimming pool ect.).
The design is modern, nice interior. The rooms are ok size, cozy furniture, nice bathroom.
The wellness is great (sauna, steam room, jakuzzi, salt room), but make sure you tell the reception to turn everything on in the morning.
Breakfast was nice, very good seleciton of food, on the other hand dinner had only basic meal seleciton, but it was ok too.
Staff is very nice, but there were many times when there were no personel on the reception, anybody could come and go in the hotel (it was also a case when a stranger got into a guest's room). Owners should pay more atteintion on safety.

Good hotel for a long weekend

Excellent location in a beautiful street, in walking distance you will find the castle, the Center and the best restaurants in Gyula. Everything is new and clean, friendly staff. It's a small hotel but the wellness area could be bigger, one more Jacuzzi or a small pool had been welcome - don't plan a whole day bathing here. Food is OK. I recommend this hotel for a short stay or combined with outside activities.
