Unforgettable Experience!
Our experience with the staff was the highlight of our 8 day stay. They all go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. We have made some memories with the staff there that we won't ever forget. Mynor helps teach you Spanish, Alex is always making sure you're taken care of, Elmer asks you about your plans and where you are from, Evir is an amazing young man who always has a smile! The front desk staff makes sure all your extra curriculars are planned to perfection, the staff on the monkey tour make sure you have an unforgettable experience.
The dining is superb! If you want comfort food, they've got it. A cozy breakfast menu? Check! An elegant dinner? they have perfected it! They also provide spectacular room service!!
It also comes with the exciting unknowns! We heard the howler monkeys from the jungle the first night and Evir had to explain what the sound was to us, it was unreal! We also got to see a crocodile swimming in the lake. They have bikes there for free use (we saw monkeys just down one of the paths) and they have kayaks you can take out.
I could go on forever describing and explaining our experiences there but your truly need to enjoy it for yourself!

One of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at!!!
The Hotel has a complimentary tour of the lagoon, which includes a stop at Monkey Island. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!!! The spider monkeys are amazing!
We were surprised to learn that the hotel also has a museum of pre-Columbian works. These works come not just from the local area, but the greater Mayan world as well. they are all unique and registered with the Guatemala government, so they are the "real deal." The museum is well curated and the item descriptions are in both Spanish and English. Do not miss this great bit of Mayan History during your stay.
While the property and the hotel are beyond compare, it is the people that really push the experience over the top. We had the honor of meeting and working with Alex, Ovidio and Elmer in the hotel restaurant. What wonderful guys!!! I did not get to meet the kitchen staff, but they are artists. The food and drink were superb!!!
I really can't say enough great things about Las Lagunas. If you are going to visit Flores or Tecal, you need to stay at Las Lagunas!!!
