Cosy

Clean and comfortable rooms, all the essentials needed in the rather big bathroom. Excellent restaurant, great food and a very friendly staff, I will definately stay in this hotel next time I visit Papenburg for business

Cozy

Cozy hotel...normal size rooms....nothing fancy, very basic hotel. Good location and good parking facilities. Most of the staff surprisingly spoke good english. No mini bar nor air con at this hotel. Breakfast was so so...small but tasty.

Dinner only

We only had dinner here, primarily we chose here because it was very popular. The food was ok but not great however the Keller beer was excellent and well worth popping in for. The waitress was friendly and sitting outside was very pleasant.

Papenburg getaway - The Hidden Gem we are all looking for !

This lovely quaint little hotel has more personality than Big Box cookie cutter hotels - from the staff to the breakfast every morning this Hotel was a delight to stumble upon. I travel to Papenburg yearly for business and have always stayed on board the ships in the yard, this year the ship was not ready for Vendors - so we went looking for a suitable choice ... We landed the best in town ... this hotel is very reasonably priced, has excellent rooms with built in charm, the restaurant has a food selection which is excellent and freshly prepared, the chef and co-owner does a wonderful job, and the small but charming Pub is a great place to relax after a long day of work or sightseeing. This Hotel will be on the TOP of my list for the rest of my traveling days and I HIGHLY recommend it to all that pass through this way..
It is also a great spot for that romantic getaway if you are planning one - lots to do and see with a feeling of home provided by the owners and staff - they are very accommodating and welcoming !! ENJOY !

Very noise old fashioned rooms

I have stayed in this hotel in December 2015. Rooms booked by a collegue. Will never go again. Old fashioned rooms with tv the size of your ceel Phone. Walls made of cardboard so you can hear your neighbour breath in his sleep. Old beds. The rooms were clean. But one of the worst experiences ever in 25 years of business travel throughout the world. Does not live up to German standards.
